The Powermaster Optimus Prime with Apex Armour was released originally as part of the transformers Japanese Toy List - 1988 as "Super Ginrai". The pictures shown here belong to a subsequent version issued on 15 Feb 2003 under the US Commemorative Series II. Powermasters feature a humanoid figure that transforms into an engine. The engine is then placed into a special slot that enables the transformation into the robot mode.
